DJ Music – Matching Your Gigs With with the Right DJ Music Mix.

Building an Awesome DJ Music Collection

If you are a DJ you know that the number one thing you have to be on any given night that you have a gig is that you have to be prepared with a lot of music.  If you are lucky enough to work someplace that the music never changes (We've all been to that bar that seems like they play the same CD of songs every Saturday.)  then you won't have to worry about being equipped with the newest music and a wide variety to keep the party going.  For the rest of us, we know that you have to have a lot of music and it better be the freshest tracks available on any given day.

If you are playing a top 40 club or a hip hop club, the playlists are usually the same.  Check out different billboard charts to see what the kiddies are listening to, and make sure that you have those songs in your arsenal.  If you don't, there will be at least one person in your booth that walks away pouting because you don't have their song.  Or even worse they sit there and go "ok, well do you have [insert any song]" until they find one they like and you happen to have.  The worst thing is being unprepared.

There are so many places that you can get new music, or find those old school tracks that no one plays anymore, but everyone remembers.  Take time to search online for songs that you can download, or websites that sell vinyl records that you can use for your mixes.  Don't be afraid to try new things and make sure that you keep the music going and the crowd happy.

DJ music is great for everyone who wants to hear something funky.  With the ability to interlace songs, melodies and beats, DJ music itself is different from anything else out there.  By mixing together two totally different artists, DJs are known for taking a song that was okay to begin with and then making it great by putting their own twist on the song.

Since the beginnings of mixing and turntables, DJ music has been played in every club around the world.  No pauses, fresh sound and a good time all orchestrated on the wheels of steel.  So keep making that great DJ music and remember to keep your collection up to date.  There's no such thing as too many trips to the record store.
